Beauty was...water gushing over moss covered rocks as it fled to the river
Beauty was...Kassidi's smile as she read a story she crafted about her teacher
Beauty was...the faint yellow full moon diffused by a thin layer of clouds
Beauty was...Sarah's smile when she earned a happy face to describe her day
Beauty was...wind bending a silhouette of trees in the early morning light
Beauty was...Colby's smile as he taught classmates how to power up the ipads
Beauty was...everywhere...yesterday.
Yes, beauty was! I smiled through it all!
ReplyDeleteYes, to all of those. I went for a walk yesterday and heard a hawk scaring up supper, and the spring water flowing, and the wind roaring. I heard the children through the blog reading.
ReplyDeleteI liked how you alternated the classroom with nature! Yesterday I took some video of the wind and the water that I'd planned on putting up tomorrow. Your Eye of the Beholder writing would go with them perfectly!
I love the way you ended this - it pulled all your thoughts together.
ReplyDeleteI liked the one about Sarah's smile the best. Very well written.
ReplyDeleteYou crafted a beautiful interweaving of thoughts. I love how you mold nature and children/the classroom together. Intersting that I had thought of doing something like this, but you did it so much better than my thoughts. I'm going to use you as a mentor text for me. Thanks.:)
ReplyDeleteA topic I should visit more often.
ReplyDeleteBeauty was...everywhere...yesterday.
ReplyDeleteSounds like the perfect day and one that you viewed with a writer's eye.
What a positive stance - to notice beauty throughout the day. It creates poetry so naturally!
